Yoga Retreat in Tuscany, Italy - July 28 - August 5, 2010

Join us for this very special 9-day yoga holiday in beautiful Tuscany, Italy. If you have always wanted to visit Italy, or have been wanting to return, this is the perfect holiday. After our morning yoga practice, there will be plenty of time to take day-trip excursions so that you can experience the romance and charm of Italy.

The Retreat Center
We have chosen a very special place, Ebbio Retreat, an 800 year-old Tuscan villa set amidst a working organic farm and vineyard. Although set in the country, Ebbio is close enough for us to explore the surrounding areas of Florence, Sienna, the Mediterranean Sea, and the nearby Roman Hot Springs. Ebbio is in a magical setting, surrounded by an evergreen forest, nestled in the heart of an old volcano that was sacred to the Etruscans. In Ebbio, you will find the spectacular scenery blends well with the history that makes Tuscany such a unique holiday experience.

The Daily Schedule
The morning will begin with slow-to-moderate vinyasa flow, appropriate for all levels of practitioners. There will be free time to relax at the center or to take a day-trip excursion. The late-afternoon yoga session will be a combination of yin and restorative postures. Three delicious Italian-vegetarian meals will be served daily.

Accommodation
Ebbio's rustic yet refined accommodations set itself apart from other Tuscan villas. An 800 year-old classic Tuscany farmhouse has been converted into a stylish yoga retreat. The ambience of Ebbio is truly a one-of-a-kind experience. Looking out one of the many windows of the different accommodations in Ebbio, you will be captivated by the undulating hills swept with thriving vineyards, olive trees and enchanting evergreen forests.

Free Your Hips - A Hip-Opening Workshop

The hips are important energetic and physical channels in our body, as well as areas where we hold muscular and emotional tension. When the hips are closed or stuck, vital body systems cannot function properly, including digestion and elimination. Lack of mobility in the hips can also cause problems with the lower back and knees joints. When you focus on opening your hips, you may be surprised by sensations of deep physical release, followed by a sense of mental and emotional lightness. The hips are main gateways for breath and prana, and we must keep these areas open so that our vital energy can flow.

Join Jodi for a Power Vinyasa class dedicated to freeing the hips. Through creative, hip-focused sequencing, we will move, breath and Free our Hips!

Jodi Boone taught for several years at Shakti Vinyasa before moving to Goa, India, where she co-directs Satsanga Retreat. She practiced and studied with Lisa Black for many years and has completed the Level I & II Power Vinyasa teacher trainings with Baron Baptiste.

Strength, Grace & Stillness - A Vinyasa Yoga Workshop

Yoga allows us to explore ourselves on the deepest levels physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Vinyasa yoga - a fluid, integrated and meditative way of moving and breathing - requires grace. Grace is the fine balance of strength and softness - if there is too much emphasis on strength, we become rigid and if there is too much softness, we have no stability. Grace also transcends the physical. With grace, we have the awareness to fully see and receive the beauty of life, as well the ability to navigate the difficult times skillfully.

 During this workshop, you will move and breathe in a way that requires all of your focus, taking you on a journey within and guiding you to a place of stillness, centeredness and deep peace, ultimately connecting you with your source of grace.

Date: Sun, June 27

Time: 12:30 to 3:00 pm

Cost: $40 in advance or $45 the day of

New Year's Yoga Holiday - January 5 - 14, 2011

Visit Sacred India. Swim in the Arabian Sea. Explore the Colorful Markets. Practice Yoga at Sunrise and Sunset. Renew, Rejuvinate and Relax!

We have planned a very special 9-Night Yoga Holiday in Goa India at Satsanga Retreat. Satsanga is located in the small village of Verla Canca and is in between Anjuna Beach and Mapusa. We've chosen Goa to hold this retreat because it is a very unique part of India, famous for its sunny, warm weather, beautiful beaches, handi-craft markets and free spirits.

If you have always wanted to visit India, Goa is the perfect place to begin or end your travels. It's perfect to begin here because it will help you to acclimate to Indian culture, in a gentle way. Sometimes Goa is referred to as "India Light" because it is not as intense as other parts, such as Northern India. Goa is where the Indians take their holidays! It's also the perfect place to end your travels, giving you a chance to unwind, reflect and relax. If time permits you only to be in India for the length of the retreat, you will experience so much of Indian life and cultur, but will also enjoy a beautiful and relaxing tropical holiday.

This all-inclusive holiday is $975 USD per person, and this includes:

* Double Accommodation

* 2 Daily Yoga Sessions, Including 1 on the Beach at Sunrise

* Trips to the Anjuna and Saturday Night Markets

* Sunset Dinner at a Local Beachfront Restaurant

* Rejuvinating Massage

* Classical Indian Music Concert

* Delicious Indian-Vegetarian Meals

* Taxi Transfer from Dablim Airport to the retreat center and back
